Welcome to
our farm in Northern Wisconsin that we share with our beautiful
Morgans! Diamond Q Morgans' breeding mission has been to produce
and promote Morgan horses of the highest athletic ability with
excellent minds, movement and type. We strive to combine the
best qualities from the Brunk and old Government bloodlines to
produce foals that are comparable
or better yet, exceed their parents. The strong, tried and
true bloodlines of the Western Working families are continuing
here at Diamond Q . . . preserving these past bloodlines is
important to us; we want you to look at our Morgans and say, "now
THAT'S a Morgan!" We
are proud to be breeding for deep bodies, shapely well-placed necks, big bottoms and typey heads - also we are specializing in traditional blacks and colorful duns. Our
Morgans are excellent examples modeling the magnetic presence, tractable disposition
and versatile working heritage of the "old style" Morgan. So can you find a sporthorse or family horse here? You bet!
Our foals are raised as well-loved members of our Morgan horse farm family! They are encouraged to excel at home as all-around family horses
and in the show ring as performance horses. Regardless of the sex or color, and more important to us, is that the foals have
been uniformly correct, with straight legs, level toplines, strong hindquarters and have lovable personalities. Our
foals are imprinted at birth, taught to pick up their feet, led, tied, groomed, loaded in a trailer, and desensitized
to various objects to the best of our ability depending on their age. We believe in giving our foals the best start
possible, beginning with our feeding, vaccination and farrier programs by the time they are one month old. When you
purchase a foal from us you don't have to wonder where to begin - we already have it started. We raise two to five
foals per year and usually have an outstanding selection of quality Morgans available for purchase as prospects for family or show.
We also present for your consideration two outstanding stallions at Diamond Q Morgans.
Coal Creek Black Oak offers an exceptional outcross for some of the modern show families as well
as foundation families. Breeding to Black Oak provides the opportunity to add durability,
soundness and substance while still retaining outstanding breed type, style and beauty. Mirabellas Magnum
is an excellent example of a colorful Morgan
stallion with balanced movement,
personality and looks that are exemplary of the breed. Long live thick necks and short backs!
Magnum has plenty of action and pizzazz to capture your imagination. We believe our classic stallions are never out of style.
We invite you to visit our Morgan Farm. Whether you are looking for a stallion for your mare, the athletic, versatile
sport Morgan or the unbeatable sweet dispositioned family Morgan - wander through and enjoy our site
- we may just have a Morgan for you!
WHAT'S NEW AT DIAMOND Q MORGANS

Three New Beautiful Faces at Diamond Q
(L to R) Melrog Irish Lita (JMF Royal Irish Duke x Lotsa Dollar) 15.1H black
mare. "Lita" is a tall, big-bodied mare with a broad chest
and full hindquarters that I have long admired since first meeting her as a foal. She is a solid, powerful mover with the conformation
and beauty to match. JAO Buckskin Rosealee (JAO Fancy Dude x Pecatonica Black Gem) 14.3H
buckskin mare. "Baby" is a stout,
old-style mare with a thick neck and beautiful head and is built just the way I like them! She has a very kind, calm
personality and is a beautiful buttermilk buckskin. JAO Butterscotch (JAO Fancy Dude x JAO Precious) 14.3H
buckskin mare.
"Butterscotch" is a striking, dappled buckskin with a kind, curious personality. When encouraged to "show off", her proud,
graceful movement seems to be effortless for her! Butterscotch and Baby are half sisters and I am thrilled to have these two
buckskin beauties in my program! I look forward to working with all three, but most of all I am eager to see what they can produce! A huge thank you to Trudy and Roger (Lita), Karen and Ray (Baby) and Tyna and Brett (Butterscotch)
for the opportunity to add these gorgeous, well-bred mares.

Left to Right- DQM Bella's Hawk EE/AA/D/N (Mirabellas Magnum x Coal Creek Brandies Flame)
bay dun filly; DQM Western by Design (Coal Creek Black Oak x Coal Creek Brandiescinder)
black filly; DQM Magnums Mirror Image Ee/AA/N/Cr (Mirabellas Magnum x
Justawee Gwenhwyvar) buckskin colt. It has been fun raising these foals this summer and enjoying such a colorful group. They all have been
kind, curious and a pleasure to work with. Both fillies have been sold and reside with their new owners, Bob and Kathy from Illinois.
Bob used to own Caduceus Casanova and really likes that bloodline, which both of these fillies have. It was neat for me to see his face light up when he saw Black Oak
as Oak reminded him of Cass, only taller! Image, our buckskin colt, is available for purchase and can be viewed on our for sale page.

After weaning Cinder's foal this fall, I finally had the chance to get my favorite mare started under saddle!
Cinder has learned the basics and has been a calm, confident partner out on the trails. We shared some beautiful fall days riding before I had to have surgery on my foot.
I am hoping to put a lot more hours on her this coming year. She looked beautiful all tacked up!
