The
Beautiful Mares of Diamond Q Morgans
As first generation Morgan breeders, we have selected classic old style mares based on willing attitudes,
conformation, bloodlines, personality and of course beauty! Having chosen
mares with these pleasing attributes,
it gives us the flexibility to choose Morgan stallions which best compliments our mare and helps to produce the quality
and versatility we strive for in our foals. In our opinion, the mares are just as important as the stallion when
breeding and are the heart of any breeding program! By limiting our breeding program to a small number of
carefully selected mares, we can continue to give a hands-on approach to breeding and raising quality Morgans
that our customers and our horses appreciate. We have been
successful primarily because we have been
open-minded and have looked to combine the best qualities in a variety of family lines. Our program
features the best of Brunk, old Government and Western Working lines. All mares are superior mothers and excellent riding, working and/or driving horses.

Coal Creek Brandiescinder
(Kahlua's Boy x Coal Creek Brandies Flame) Black, 14.2 Hands, Foaled 04/2005, AMHA# 0168009
|
|
|
Coal Creek breeding at its best! A typey, well put together foundation mare, Cinder has a beautiful floating trot, a quiet and kind gentle nature, gobs of mane and tail and is sweet as pie! She is very balanced and athletic, has a beautiful head with small curvy ears and is so willing and a pleasure to be around. She has produced a gorgeous black colt in the past that was purchased as a
stallion prospect as well as western riding disciplines. We are looking forward to her foal this Spring.
Cinder is my favorite mare! Cinder foaled a beautiful black filly on June 17, 2011 by our senior stallion,
Coal Creek Black Oak. DQM Western by Design has been sold.

hands, foaled 05/1997 AMHA# 0143310 |
|
|
Brandie is a well put together foundation mare with a kind personality and lots of action! She produces
quality foals and is an excellent broodmare putting everything she has into her foal. We liked her daughter ("Cinder" above) so well we went back to Gary Wallace's farm and purchased her as well. Brandie foaled a beautiful
dun filly on April 28, 2011
by our dunskin stallion, Mirabella's Magnum! DQM Bella's Hawk has been
sold.

Foaled 06/2008, AMHA#0180563

Echo is proving to be a brave, curious, affectionate young filly and is kind natured as well as beautiful.
I really liked her dam, JMF Rainbows End, and that is why we chose this filly for our program. In the future we
plan to cross her with our dunskin stallion, Mirabellas Magnum. She is a JMF Cruise Control daughter and a Rum Brook Immortal Image granddaughter.

JAO Butterscotch
(JAO Fancy Dude x JAO Precious) Buckskin, 14.3 Hands, Foaled 04/2001, AMHA# 0154130
|
|
|
JAO Butterscotch is a striking, dappled buckskin with a kind, curious personality.
When encouraged to "show off," her proud, graceful movement seems to be effortless for her! She has had Parelli training
and has been a wonderful trail horse. This mare was bred by Jack Owen and has Rimlo Black Valiant on the top and bottom. I am excited to see what she will
produce... I anticipate strikingly beautiful foals with athletic, fluid movement.

JAO Buckskin Rosealee
(JAO Fancy Dude x Pecatonica Black Gem) Buckskin, 14.3 Hands, Foaled 06/2002, AMHA# 0159418
|
|
|
JAO Buckskin Rosealee is a stout, old-style mare with a thick neck and beautiful head and
is built just the way I like them! She has a very kind, calm personality and is a beautiful buttermilk buckskin. Her bloodlines
carry a healthy dose of foundation blood and are a combination of Gary Wallace (Coal Creek), Lowell Hughes (Caduceus) and Jack Owens'
(JAO) breeding programs, not to mention the WAR program. I envision her colorful foals fast
becoming favorites with tons of western style.

Melrog Irish Lita
(JMF Royal Irish Duke x Lotsa Dollar) Black, 15.1 Hands, Foaled 04/2007, AMHA# 0174620
|
|
|
Melrog Irish Lita is a tall, big-bodied mare with a broad chest and full hindquarters that I have long admired since
first meeting her as a foal. She is a solid, powerful mover with the confirmation and beauty to match. Some of the "greats" in
her pedigree include: Rimlo Black Valiant, Beamington and Flyhawk. Her foals will have gorgeous heads, long legs, a proud
"look at me" stature and be excellent sporthorse prospects.
