"Producing and promoting old style Morgans for the whole family to enjoy"
~WHAT'S NEW AT DIAMOND Q MORGANS~
Welcome to our farm in Central Wisconsin that we share with our beautiful Morgans! We are family owned/ operated (my parents, Paul and Sherry, and myself, Angie) and are located in the beautiful coulee region by Osseo, Wisconsin. Diamond Q Morgans' breeding mission has been to produce and promote Morgan horses of the highest athletic ability with excellent minds, movement and type. We strive to combine the best qualities from the Brunk and old Government bloodlines to produce foals that are comparable or better yet, exceed their parents. The strong, tried and true bloodlines of the Western Working families are continuing here at Diamond Q . . . preserving these past bloodlines is important to us; we want you to look at our Morgans and say, "now THAT'S a Morgan!" We are proud to be breeding a high percent foundation Morgan for deep bodies, substantial necks, big bottoms, solid legs and typey heads - also we are specializing in traditional blacks and colorful duns. Our Morgans are excellent examples displaying a proud presence, kind disposition and versatile working heritage of the "old style" Morgan. So can you find a sporthorse or family horse here? You bet!
Our foals are raised as well-loved members of our Morgan horse farm family! They are encouraged to excel at home as all-around family horses and in the show ring as performance horses. Regardless of the sex or color, and more important to us, is that the foals have been uniformly correct, with straight legs, level toplines, strong hindquarters and have lovable personalities. Our foals are handled at birth, taught to pick up their feet, led, tied, groomed, loaded in a trailer, and desensitized to various objects to the best of our ability depending on their age. We believe in giving our foals the best start possible, beginning with our feeding, vaccination and farrier programs by the time they are one month old. When you purchase a foal from us you don't have to wonder where to begin - we already have it started. We raise two to five foals per year and usually have an outstanding selection of quality Morgans available for purchase as prospects for family or performance.
We also present for your consideration two outstanding stallions at Diamond Q Morgans. Coal Creek Black Oak offers an exceptional outcross for some of the modern show families as well as foundation families. Breeding to Black Oak provides the opportunity to add durability, soundness and substance while still retaining outstanding breed type, style and beauty. Mirabellas Magnum is an excellent example of a colorful Morgan stallion with balanced movement, personality and looks that are exemplary of the breed. Long live thick necks and short backs! Magnum has plenty of action and pizzazz to capture your imagination. We believe our classic stallions are never out of style.
We invite you to visit our Morgan Farm. Whether you are looking for a stallion for your mare, the athletic, versatile sport Morgan or the unbeatable sweet dispositioned family Morgan - wander through and enjoy our site - we may just have a Morgan for you!

~Midwest Horse Fair 2012~ Mom and I headed out for Madison on a stormy Thursday morning with both stallions and a loaded down trailer to say the least! Thursday and Friday was miserable weather but thankfully Saturday and Sunday were beautiful. Both stallions participated in the Stallion Revue and the Wisconsin Morgan Horse Club demonstrations as well as many "mini" demonstrations in the Stallion Barn. Coal Creek Black Oak was shown driving and Mirabellas Magnum was shown reining and Magnum and I even carried the red, white and blue! Presenting two stallions was quite a challenge and could not have been done without the help of my trainer and friend, Billy Yoder of Billy Yoder Horsemanship. Your patience, dedication, expertise and passion for training horses is extraordinary! The second person that went above and beyond to make this such a success is my mom, always behind the scenes making everything perfect...decorating, photographing, videos and making sure we took a minute to eat! Thanks mom!
Both stallions captured many peoples attention with their beauty and personalities and were wonderful ambassadors for the Morgan breed. I am still honoring the **Special Promotion** stud fee on either stallion for the folks who were interested at the horse fair, just call or email to make arrangements.
I also had a great time visiting with Morgan friends, Kerry and Robin from Captured Spirit Ranch and Leon and Cindy Kells from Flower Valley Morgans. It was also neat to meet new Morgan folks that I had heard of or had visited their website and be able to put a face with a name. Two of which are Jarrett and Karin Miller from Char-Dan Morgans and Don Bahr from Do More Morgans.
A huge thank you to all that were involved and onto Horse-A-Rama in Manitowoc, Wisconsin!

~Iowa Horse Fair 2012~ Since most of my Morgans have "Coal Creek" in their bloodlines, I decided to take a little trip down to Iowa and attend the Iowa Horse Fair. I met many wonderful people and their Morgans from the Iowa Morgan Horse Association and watched their Morgan demonstration. I also visited Gary Wallace, now retired from breeding "Coal Creek" Morgans, and had lots of laughs as usual! Gary retained a few Morgans for riding, two of them pictured below with Gary, mom and myself are out of my stallion, Coal Creek Black Oak. Gary, I am honored that you kept two of Oak's babies!
